Persian Wedding
& Persian Mariage in the Style of Ancient Perse, Another of the
dozens of innovations and creations of Siyavash Awesta "David
Abbasi" Since the 1980s, Siavash Avesta ("David Abbasi"), familiar with several languages, including eloquent Arabic, realized that many common expressions and sayings in Persian with Arabic roots insult humanity, the character of Iranians, and the ancient 7,700-year-old history of Iran. Examples include marriage rites, Persian names, and the use of phrases like "Salam Alaikum" and others. From those years onward, Siavash Awesta created and introduced the Iranian Mithraic calendar, promoted the use of Persian names, and extensively researched the roots of invasions like the Arab conquest of Iran. He disseminated these ideas through platforms such as Radio Avaye Iran, Mehr TV, and publications like Nimrooz, Ferdowsi Today, Payam-e Ma Azadegan, Iranian Vancouver, Asr-e Emrooz, Sobh-e Iran, Ershad, and Shahr-e Farang. These were distributed in cities like London, Paris, Vancouver, and Los Angeles. He also published newspapers such as Homa and Kayhan Jahani, which he personally managed from Paris. All this was part of the cultural and artistic efforts under the Avesta Institute, located at 66 Champs-Élysées, and contributed to the global promotion of these ideas. Siavash Avesta ("David Abbasi") is a modern philosopher and innovator of numerous new ideas and programs. His contributions include promoting the Faravahar emblem, symbolizing the sun's power globally, and advocating white clothing for mourning ceremonies. After the Khomeini revolution, many celebrations and joyful days were removed from the Iranian calendar. Avesta introduced the 7,000-year-old calendar, naming every day of the year after a historical or artistic figure or Iranian festivity. During a period when Iran and Iraq's war dominated global Iranian discourse, he organized monthly Iranian festivals with performances by renowned artists in Europe's most elegant venues. Siavash Avesta also coined and elaborated on the term "Political Islam," addressing its global dangers in his books and radio and television programs. Much of the contemporary critique of political Islam worldwide was first introduced by him. With the emergence of YouTube, he educated people on how to send their reports directly to global media, a skill that played a pivotal role in the creation of Iran’s Green Movement in 1999 and later the Arab Spring. Notably, the Arab Spring was also influenced by his interview with Ahmed Ben Nour, Tunisia's former intelligence minister and advisor to Habib Bourguiba, two months before Mohamed Bouazizi's self-immolation. Siavash Avesta ("David Abbasi") played a significant role in breaking the oppressive barriers in Iran. For the first time, he conducted interviews from Paris with prominent figures of the Islamic Revolution, which many considered akin to telephonic trials. Among the 500 people he interviewed were Mehdi Bazargan (Khomeini's Prime Minister), Ebrahim Yazdi (Foreign Minister), Dariush Forouhar (Minister of Labor), Badri (Ali Khamenei's sister), Robert Baer (CIA Director), Ari Ben-Menashe (Mossad Director), Pierre Marion (Director of French Counterintelligence), Jacques Vergès (controversial lawyer), Shimon Peres (President of Israel), Elie Barnavi (Israeli ambassador to France), Yasser Arafat, Leila Shahid, and numerous other Iranian and non-Iranian figures. Studying the books, articles, and radio and television lessons of Siavash Avesta ("David Abbasi") in various languages helps us better understand the contemporary history of Iran and the world. It also clarifies why a significant number of Iranians and formerly Muslim people across regions such as Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Turkey, the Persian Gulf, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, and Israel openly declare that they are no longer Muslim and even change their names.
